HUM Systems stands for “Human Machine Systems” and develops intelligent IoT solutions at the intersection of hardware, software and artificial intelligence. At its core lies the ambition to translate complex technology into easy-to-use, reliable products that simplify users’ everyday lives, enhance their safety and extend their independence. All products are developed end-to-end in Berlin, from the circuit board to the app (“Designed in Germany”), combined with a strong customer discovery and design thinking approach.
Under the Livy brand, HUM Systems addresses two closely interlinked product lines:
▪ Livy Care – wearable-free fall detection via an intelligent ceiling sensor that monitors the entire room and automatically detects falls, without older people having to wear an emergency call button or a wristband. Available in a Home Edition for private households and a Professional Edition for care and senior living facilities
▪ Livy Protect – smart 2-in-1 home security with integrated fire and burglary protection in a design-oriented device, complemented by smoke detectors, accessories and a coordinated service ecosystem
The differentiation factor lies in the combination of AI-based sensor technology, data protection compliance through edge processing (“no camera, no wearable”), and a consistent user-centric approach that addresses a growing structural need, particularly within the silver tech and ambient assisted living segment.
The target audience comprises, on the one hand, private households with safety and comfort needs, and on the other, older adults, family carers, and professional care and support facilities, where fall prevention is among the central drivers of quality and cost.
